Platform roles overview
There are different Platform roles for owning and managing namespace provider resource types in the namespace provider hierarchy. Refer to the table below for a summary of the different Platform roles.

| Organization Owner | Application Owner | Application | Creates and manages applications. Can invite other users to become Organization Owners. |
| Platform Manager | Platform | Application | Owns a Platform, onboards Organization Owners, onboards and manages applications. The Platform Manager can manage SSO setup, users, orchestrator queues, script execution, and configurations. Currently, this role is only available in the Console App. |
| Application Owner | Application | UserGroups, Workspaces | Owns an application and manages its resources. |
| Application Developer | UserGroups, Workspaces | UserGroups, Workspaces | Accesses application resources based on permission set. Can create and own Workspaces and UserGroups for an application. |
