Overview​

The ReferenceApp allows you to explore the user interface and source code of a platform application. You can also use it to make changes to source code in a local project and view the changes in a browser.

Start using the ReferenceApp by referring to the Setting up your ReferenceApp project page.

The ReferenceApp serves as a working example project that practically uses the platform concepts, types, and APIs covered in the platform documentation.

ReferenceApp's documented use cases​

The referenceApp contains pre-loaded data that you can reference and experiment with for the following actions:

  • View the 3D model in the Navigator view and interact with model elements
  • Select model elements by AI chat prompt
  • Fetch model elements by category and type and complete the following:
    • Filter and group fetched elements
    • Color tag fetched, grouped, and filtered model elements
    • Add, edit, and delete the following model element's related items:
      • Element properties
      • Warranty data
      • File attachments
      • Telemetry data
  • Manage users and user groups
  • View the object model API configurations
  • Upload files
